We are always looking for thoughtful, carefully crafted work that reflects our commitment to meaningful storytelling. We primarily deal directly with authors in order to bring their vision to reality.
We publish fiction and nonfiction and look for stories that resonate, illuminate, and stay with readers long after the final page.

Window Light Books is currently open to submissions in the following categories:
Fiction - All Genres: novels and short story collections.
Narrative Nonfiction: character-driven nonfiction with strong storytelling

At this time, we are not accepting submissions in the following categories:
Poetry collections
Children’s books

To submit your work, please send the following materials:
A query letter
A 1 paragraph author biography, can be included in query letter
A synopsis (for book-length manuscripts)
The first 25–50 pages of your manuscript, pasted into the body of the email or attached as a Word document
Please include “Submission – [Manuscript Title]” in the subject line.

Because we are a small independent press, response times may vary. Please allow 3-6 weeks for a response. If you have not heard from us after that time, you are welcome to send a polite follow-up inquiry.

We understand that many writers submit their work to multiple publishers at the same time. Simultaneous submissions are acceptable; however, please notify us immediately if your manuscript is accepted elsewhere.
